Tarkett to Open NYC-Based Atelier

Solon, OH, October 16, 2019-Tarkett has announced the launch of the Tarkett Atelier in New York City, officially opening October 30 with the Circular by Design panel discussion and exhibit.

Located at 440 Park Avenue South, the Tarkett Atelier, designed by Huntsman Architectural Group, will be a sophisticated, co-creation workspace and a source of inspiration for the architecture and design community. The modular, 10,000 square foot Atelier will be functional, inspire collaboration and creativity, and encourage the design community to visit the space and use it as a destination for hosting events and presentations. With a larger footprint in New York City, the Atelier offers the opportunity to experience all Tarkett solutions in one space and will house a variety of flooring platforms, including LVT, broadloom, modular carpet, powerbond, rubber, linoleum, VET, SVT and vinyl sheet.

Coinciding with this launch is the start of a larger strategic partnership with trend studio Edelkoort. Edelkoort will curate a series of four panels through 2020 to discuss contemporary issues pertinent to the interiors industry, sustainability and creativity at large. The studio will also be staging two design exhibitions within the space in fall 2019 and in spring 2020.
