Tarkett Group Revenues Down, Profits Up for First Half of 2024

Paris, France, August 2, 2024--Tarkett Group’s net revenue for Q2 2024 was down by 2.1%, and -1.8% on a like-for-like basis, compared to Q2 2023.

Net revenues for the first half of the year decreased by 3.1% compared to the first half of 2023, down to 1.5587 billion euros. Net profits were up 542.9% year over year, to 18 million euros.

The North American segment reported net revenues of 446.3 million euros for the first half of this year, down 2.6% compared to the first half of 2023.

By category, the global company saw increased revenues year over year in commercial carpet and rubber and accessories, while vinyl and linoleum and wood and laminate revenues slid:

  • Vinyl and linoleum: 661.9 million euros, a decrease of 7.9%
  • Wood and laminate: 65.6 million euros, a decrease of 6.2%
  • Commercial carpet: 264 million euros, an increase of 3.6%
  • Rubber and accessories: 138 million euros, an increase of 1.6%

The company's sports flooring segment maintained the 429.3 million euros reported for the first half of last year. But, on July 3, following the June 30 closing date for first-half sales, Tarkett acquired Classic Turf & Tracks, which is likely to boost sales moving forward.
