Surfaces 2019 Starts Today in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV, January 23, 2019-The 30th annual International Surface Event (Surfaces) starts today at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One highlight for 2019 is the Design Installation Showcase Hub (DISH), which includes a design stage, an installation stage and demonstrations with activities running concurrently.

In addition, this year the installation contest is returning to the show floor, where nine installers will compete in the finals: three installing ceramic tile, three installing hardwood and three installing carpet. The contest will take place Wednesday and Thursday with winners announced Friday.

Surfaces decided to reformat its education programs this year to simplify the process for attendees. The group created three educations tracts-hammer and nails, suits, and creatives-to create clear paths for attendees to follow, though anyone is welcome in any class.

The Surfaces 2019 show amounts to around a half million square feet of exhibition space.

The largest residential flooring show in the United States, Surfaces runs through January 25.

Surfaces 2019 offers a robust lineup of education, live demos, and exhibitions. More information is available here.
