Star Lumber Acquires Apex Lumber Company

Oklahoma City, OK, November 11, 2024-Star Lumber has acquired Apex Lumber Company, reports LBM Journal. 

“The two pro-oriented building materials contractor yards, located in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, will greatly enhance Star’s ability to serve the professional builders in those markets. Randy ‘Chip’ Chippeaux, senior vice-president of the building materials division, a 49-year veteran of the industry, will oversee the transition and management of the new locations. 

“The contractor yards are the newest additions to Star’s steady Oklahoma expansion including the truss plant in El Reno, Oklahoma and the countertop fabrication plant in Oklahoma City that both opened in 2022, as well as a builder flooring showroom in Tulsa that opened in 2023. Star has been operating a builder flooring showroom in Oklahoma City since 2008. These additions bring the Oklahoma team to nearly 100 employees.”

The company is an NFA member.
