Small Business Optimism on Upswing

New York, NY, Aug. 29, 2013 — Small businesses are more optimistic than they’ve been in quite some time, the Wall Street Journal reported, in part citing its own survey.

WSJ reported that small-business optimism rose in July and August to some of the highest levels since the recession started.

The Journal said its CEO Survey’s “confidence index” reached a high of 104.2 in August, up from 102.2 in July and 93.7 in August of 2012.

It said similar indices created by Wells Fargo and Gallup tell a similar story.
