Skip Mason Named President of SAR Floors

Harrisburg, PA, March 21, 2022-Skip Mason was named president of SAR Floors on March 11.

Mason started his sales career in the electrical wholesale industry, where he honed his skills under the mentorship of Robert E. Drucker from Progress Lighting.

SAR Floors is a manufacturer of LVT and SPC products.

He then transitioned to a local family-owned cabinet company, SpringHill Kitchens in Annville, Pennsylvania. In 1995, he was introduced to Lee and Sue Allwein, owners of Allwein Carpet One in Annville, Pennsylvania. This led to Skip’s first management opportunity running the Bigelow Carpet Factory Outlet in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. From there, he was employed by Shaw Industries for 20 years; 15 years as a territory manager in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania market and his last five years as a corporate account manager during which he supported one of Shaw’s largest customers, Sherwin Williams.

In 2019, Mason joined FloorMax USA and SAR Floors as the director of national sales for both companies. In January of 2020 Skip stepped into the full-time roll as director of sales for SAR Floors. Coming through Covid in 2020, into 2021 Mason lead SAR with an ambitious growth spurt and pushed the envelope in sales creating over 200% growth in that year.
