Six Flooring Producers Announce Tariff-Related Price Increases

Chattanooga, TN, May 9, 2025-Mohawk Group, Engineered Floors, Shaw, Daltile and Marazzi, and Karndean have all announced price increases.

Mohawk Group: “We have monitored the situation closely over the past two weeks and have determined that the global tariff will likely remain in effect indefinitely. Therefore, we will be implementing a price increase of 8% on all imported products effective May 19. Orders entered prior to this date will not be subject to the increase but must ship when available.

“Fortunately, most of our product offering is not affected by the recent tariffs. Pricing for all domestically manufactured products, including broadloom, carpet tile, LVT, homogeneous tile, heterogeneous sheet, laminate, and wall base will not change.

“Updated pricing for affected products will be available next week.”

Engineered Floors Commercial: “…Engineered Floors Commercial will implement an 8% price increase specifically on our internationally sourced products. This adjustment applies to both the J+J Flooring Group and EF Contract brands and will be made effective for all shipments beginning Monday, May 19th, 2025.

“…pricing on our entire collections of domestically produced broadloom carpet, modular carpet, and Kinetex will remain unchanged at this time.”

Daltile and Marazzi: “These pricing changes will apply to impacted new orders effective June 2, 2025. To retain current pricing, orders must be placed by June 2, 2025 and ship no later than June 27,2025.”

Shaw: “As a result of the universal tariffs implemented on all finished goods imported into the U.S., we are implementing an average 8% price increase on some hard surface products. This change impacts products sold in the U.S. and will be effective May 19 for orders and June 2 for shipments. It does not impact pricing on carpet or domestically manufactured resilient and, in most cases, does not impact pricing for wood or laminate.”

Karndean: “While our strong inventory position has allowed us to delay an associated pricing increase, we want to let you know that adjustments will be necessary starting in June.A pricing increase will take effect on:

“All new orders placed June 2 or later

“All orders that ship June 9 or later

“Pricing increases will vary by product and will reflect only the direct impact of tariffs on our costs.”
