Shaw's Scott Sandlin to Race in Kona Ironman to Benefit St. Jude

Chattanooga, TN, October 3, 2019-Scott Sandlin, Sr VP of Residential Sales for Shaw,will race in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii on October 12. He will be the first St Jude Hero to participate in the Ironman World Champion race.

The event-which includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a 26.2-mile marathon-is part of Sandlin’s goal to raise $30,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, which treats children suffering from catastrophic illnesses at no cost to the children’s families. 

Sandlin has completed two full Ironmans and four half Ironmans and will become the first St. Jude Hero to take part in the Ironman World Championship in Kona. Accorrding to Sandlin, his goal to cross with finish line wearing his St Jude Hero shirt and a smile.
