Shaw & Mohawk Announce Price Increases on Commercial Flooring

Chattanooga, TN, August 30, 2018-Shaw and Mohawk have announced a 4% to 7% price increase on specified commercial carpet and hard surface, which includes broadloom, modular and resilient. This includes main street products as well.

Shaw’s increase is effective September 15 and Mohawk’s on October 1.

Mohawk’s letter notes that, “As you have likely experienced in the media, the U.S. government is considering imposing tariffs on many imports from China and other areas of the world, including raw materials and finished products for the flooring industry. Imposition of tariffs may affect costs of our product offering and require additional pricing actions.”
