Shaw Kicks Off Regional Showcases with Dallas Event
Dallas, TX, January 12, 2024-Shaw kicked off its regional showcases in Dallas, Texas, January 10 to 12. Themed “Elevate,” the series of dealer-facing events are being used not only to showcase new products but also to help retailers become more effective through training such as “Attracting Customers in a Slower Economy” and “Recruiting, Hiring and Retaining Talent”-the latter being an especially big topic of concern for dealers today, according to event representatives.
The show floor at the Dallas event, which filled the conference space at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, Texas, was bustling with visitors, including representatives from Top 100 Retailers Nebraska Furniture Mart and Carpet Exchange. Alongside the typical product racks from Shaw’s various brands and categories was a fun retro-themed display in line with Shaw’s new tagline, “Carpet is Cool.”
The “Elevate” theme also extended to the show floor, with a handful of racks displaying prototypes of new technological capabilities, along with QR codes linked to a survey to help Shaw determine what its customers would like to see next in terms of yarn, tufting and performance innovations.
“This is the earliest we have ever shown prototypes,” said Kenny Michael, director of soft surface product design. “What I’m seeing is that people are much more interested in design. They want more color, more pattern.”
