Schuberts Carpet Store Closes Doors After 76 Years

Jamestown, ND, December 10, 2021-Schuberts Carpet One Floor & Home located in Jamestown, North Dakota closed its doors on November 30, reports The Jamestown Sun. The business opened on March 17, 1945, selling wall and floorcoverings, paint and glass.

Barb Gomke, who was the majority owner and manager of Schuberts, said she tried selling the business but couldn't find a suitable buyer.

Gomke started at Schuberts in 1972 as a high school junior.
