Ralph Boe's Arropol Ramping Up Production of Polyol from PET

Dalton, GA, October 23, 2018-Ralph Boe has formed a company called Arropol and has received the necessary paperwork to ramp up production of polyol, the material it is making from post-consumer PET carpet.

In this pursuit, he hired biochemical engineer Anna Valadez who has been working on this project for the last three years.

Polyol will be used in foam installation, artificial turf backing and underlayment for hard surface flooring, as well as in synthetic plywood, and Boe believes Arropol will have enough capacity to recycle half of all post-consumer PET carpet waste into polyol. Up until this point all PET recycling has been downcycling.

Arropol currently has a contract to acquire a new plant in the Dalton area when it fully sells through capacity at its current plant.

Boe will use CARE dollars as offset development costs.
