PS America Inc. Reportedly Files for Chapter 11

Volant, PA, Oct. 7, 2009—PS America Inc., which operates more than 40 wholesale flooring showrooms across the country, has reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company, incorporated in Pennsylvania, has its corporate office in Longwood, Fla. It is the largest franchisee of ProSource Wholesale Floorcoverings.

Jim Traweek is president of the company. He also operates Maretti USA, an importer of flooring from Europe and China, and Flooring HQ, a warehouse store retailer of flooring with four locations in Florida.

PS America reportedly has annual sales of $160 million.

Traweek began his career as a buyer for Federated Department Stores. He was previously president and owner of SunFlooring, and president at Domco USA and Domcor Canada.
