Producer Prices Rose 0.1% in November

Washington, DC, December 11, 2018-The Producer Price Index for final demand edged up 0.1% in November, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. 

Final demand prices advanced 0.6% in October and 0.2% in September. 

On an unadjusted basis, the final demand index moved up 2.5% for the 12 months ended in November.

In November, the rise in the final demand index can be traced to a 0.3% increase in prices for final demand services. In contrast, the index for final demand goods decreased 0.4%.

The index for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services moved up 0.3% in November, the third consecutive increase. For the 12 months ended in November, prices for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services advanced 2.8%.
