Washington, DC, July 15, 2026—The Producer Price Index for final demand fell 0.3% in June, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.
Final demand prices advanced 0.6% in May and 1.1% in April.
On an unadjusted basis, the index for final demand increased 5.5% for the 12 months ended in June.
The June decline in the index for final demand can be attributed to prices for final demand goods, which fell 1.4%. In contrast, the index for final demand services moved up 0.2%.
The index for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services increased 0.1% in June after jumping 0.8% in May. For the 12 months ended in June, prices for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services rose 5.1%.
