NTCA Names '25 Five-Star Contractor Project of the Year Winners
Jackson, MS, May 2, 2025-The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) has announced the winners of the 2025 NTCA Five-Star Contractor Project of the Year Awards during a special ceremony at Coverings on May 1.
These awards honor outstanding achievement and technical excellence in tile installation projects completed by NTCA Five-Star Accredited Contractors.
This year’s award recipients include Vallefuoco Contractors, Brekhus Tile & Stone, Rinaldi Tile & Marble, Trostrud Mosaic & Tile Co., David Allen Company, and Premier Tile & Marble Co.
● Vallefuoco Contractors LLC earned the Residential Achievement of Excellence award for its Planes, Drains, and Dry-Lay Reveals project. Their meticulous use of two interlocking waterjet marble mosaics required a multi-stage dry layout to ensure material integrity and precision placement across multiple planes.
● Brekhus Tile & Stone received the Residential Grand Prize for its work on the Gaylord Street Residence. This technically demanding project involved aesthetic flow, vein matching, and managing varying material thicknesses. Successful coordination with fabricators, designers, and the homeowner was key to the project's success.
● Rinaldi Tile & Marble was recognized with the Community Impact Award for the Watsonville Brillante project. The team generously donated time to install over 12,500 square feet of community-created mosaics on a public parking structure.
● Trostrud Mosaic & Tile Co won the Commercial Grand Prize for its renovation of Headlands Technologies. This complex commercial update demanded over 1,700 man hours to overcome layout, ADA, and substrate challenges.
● David Allen Company earned the Large Commercial Achievement of Excellence award for their work on a fast-paced Casino installation. Over 130,000 square feet of tile, stone, and terrazzo were installed in just seven months by a team of 60 skilled craftsmen.
● Premier Tile & Marble Co. received the Large Commercial Grand Prize for their extraordinary work on the Clippers Intuit Dome Arena project. With over 300,000 square feet of tile, glass, stone, and panels-including an exterior mural crafted from tile-this high-profile arena project exemplified precision, coordination, and creativity under pressure.
