New Jersey Contractor Pleads Guilty to Bribe


Cherry Hill, NJ, March 28, 2006–A flooring contractor pleaded guilty Monday to bribing a Paterson school official in exchange for aid in getting district work, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said, as reported in the Courier-Post Online.

Richard Costabile, president of Ironbound Floor Covering Inc., of Newark, admitted he provided more than $5,000 in flooring and installation at a home the official was building in Sussex County, prosecutors said. The official was not named.

Costabile, 45, of Bedminster, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He remains free on $100,000 bond pending sentencing June 28.
