NAFCD Announces New Board & Officers at 2023 Convention

Colorado Springs, CO, November 17, 2023-The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) elected new board members and officers at the group’s annual convention, which wrapped up yesterday.

As his last act as president, AJ Warne, vice president of sales and marketing for Abraham Linc, presided over the installation of the following:

*President: Dori Blitzstein of Roesel-Heck Company

*President-elect: Brian Green of Belknap-Haines

*Vice president: Austin Starnes of BPI

*Treasurer: Robert Marra of Abraham Linc

*Supplier directors: Sara Zacharias of All Surfaces and Jill Turner of A&M Supply

*Distributor director: Reid Waxman of Roomvo

The group also recognized graduates from its second class of Emerging Distribution Leaders:

Involving more young people within the organization has been a passion project for Warne, and Blitzstein promoted the continuation of that along with more inclusive opportunities for women during her inauguration speech.

The event played host to a well-attended Women in the Flooring Industry breakfast amid the schedule of educational offerings aimed at increasing sales through empathy and cultural awareness and improving efficiencies through AI and a breakdown of economic conditions and forecasts.

The 13th consecutive conference held jointly with the North American Building Material Distribution Association drew a record-breaking 1,100+ attendees. Next year’s conference will be held October 22 to 24 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, which is earlier than usual due to the U.S. presidential election. Registration will open in July.
