Mohawk to Acquire Brazil's Elizabeth Revestimentos

Calhoun, GA, November 4, 2022-Mohawk Industries has entered into an agreement to buy Elizabeth Revestimentos, based in Brazil.

When combined with Eliane, which became part of Mohawk in 2018, the company will be the largest producer of ceramic coatings in revenue in Brazil, which is the second largest ceramic market in the world. Elizabeth produces porcelain tiles and ceramic tiles and markets mainly in retail, home centers and construction companies.

Elizabeth was founded in 1984 and has four strategically located manufacturing units to optimize distribution. Together with Eliane's production strengths, Elizabeth's advanced manufacturing assets will enhance the combined business's product offering, operational efficiencies, and service capabilities. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q1 2023 and is subject to customary government approvals and closing conditions.
