Mohawk Agrees to Acquire Brazilian Ceramic Firm Eliane

Carrolton, TX, October 22, 2018-Mohawk has agreed to purchase 100% of the shares of Brazilian ceramic company Eliane. 

The value of the transaction is not disclosed.

According to the company, whose shareholders are the Gaidzinski family and Kinea funds, the 58 year-old firm will follow up on its strategic planning but "broadens the capacity to implement its plans for growth and incorporation of technology."

Floor Focus estimates Eliane's annual revenue to be around $200 million. Eliane is one of the two largest Braziiian tile companies.
