Mannington Expands Relationship with Microban to Hard Surface Products

Salem, NJ, December 7, 2020-Mannington has expanded its relationship with Microban to hard surface flooring products, including Adura luxury vinyl, select sheet vinyl product and new City Line LVT for main street. 

Microban is a built-in antibacterial technology. Microban antimicrobial surface protection helps protect the surface of the floor 24/7 against the growth of bacteria and remains 99% cleaner than untreated surfaces.

Several years ago, Mannington’s Phenix arm formed an exclusive relationship to apply Microban to residential carpet products, initially starting only a few select soft surface products. Lasts year, the company expanded that technology to its entire soft surface portfolio, except Pet Protect products.

Adura Flex products with Microban will be available in February, and Adura Max and Adura Rigid will be available in May. In addition, all Adura Flex and about half of Adura Max constructions are made in the U.S. at Mannington’s LVT manufacturing facility in Madison, Georgia. The company says that during the first quarter of 2021, it will also offer Microban on select sheet vinyl products, which are made at its company headquarters location in Salem, New Jersey.
