Mannington Awards Two National Merit Scholarships

Salem, NJ, June 8, 2022-In recognition of the benefits that higher education provides to both individuals and the communities in which they live, Mannington is a corporate sponsor of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and the underwriter of scholarships for children of its associates. This year, Mannington-sponsored special scholarships have been awarded to two high school seniors, Isabel Edwards and Chloe Silvers.

Isabel is a graduate of Model High School in Rome, Georgia. She plans to become an attorney,and will be attending the University of Georgia, majoring in Ethnic, cultural minority, gender and group studies. Isabel is the daughter of Amy and Michael Edwards. Michael is senior vice president of operations at Mannington Mills.

Chloe is a graduate of Adairsville High School in Adairsville, Georgia. She plans to become a veterinarian and will be attending Berry College, majoring in preveterinary studies. Chloe is the daughter of Samantha and Wesley Silvers. Samantha is a strategic account project coordinator at Mannington Mills.

Since becoming a National Merit Scholarship Corporation sponsor in 2014, Mannington has awarded sixteen scholarships, and recipients have pursued majors across an impressive spectrum of academic disciplines, ranging from physics, aeronautical engineering and natural resource management to physical therapy and international relations.
