Mannington Acquires Georgia Carpet Finishers

Salem, NJ, February 1, 2022-Mannington Mills has acquired Georgia Carpet Finishers, Inc., a supplier of carpet backing to the residential, hospitality and turf industries, as well as high-density polyurethane cushions.

"In addition, we have a long-term vendor relationship, so we already know it's a good fit for both companies. We look forward to leveraging our combined strengths to grow the business."

Dwight Hefner, president of Georgia Carpet Finishers, called the acquisition an exciting next step in the company's history. "Over the years, our relationship with Mannington has grown and we know both organizations will benefit from this acquisition. As we open this new chapter, we owe a word of gratitude to our long-time, existing customers and we look forward to continuing those relationships, 'business as usual,'" Hefner said.

Georgia Carpet Finishers will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Mannington Mills and will operate independently. The company is located in Chatsworth, Georiga and employs approximately 150 associates. Hefner will remain president of Georgia Carpet Finishers and will report to Grizzle.

No terms of the transaction were disclosed.
