Midland, MI, August 2--Dow Chemical Co. has named Andrew N. Liveris, CEO. He had been president and COO.
William S. Stavropoulos, CEO and chairman, will continue as chairman.
Liveris has been with Dow since 1976, has held the position of president and COO since November 2003.
The appointment is effective Nov. 1.
Dow named Liveris president late last year, in a move many analysts said paved the way for him to eventually rise to CEO.
