Hartford, CT, June 30, 2010–Connecticut firm Dur-A-Flex was awarded more than $50 million dollars in damages for the alleged misuse of trade secrets by Laticrete, a claim the company vigorously denies.
Laticrete was accused of stealing a colored-sand-making process of Dur-A-Flex, a former supplier for Laticrete.
The jurors awarded $43.7 million in damage, and the court added $6 million in legal fees and $600,000 in royalties.
Laticrete said it would appeal the decision, which it called “baseless” and “grossly excessive.”
