Karndean Enters Underlayment Category

Export, PA, November 20, 2018-Karndean is entering the underlayment category with its introduction of QuietChoice Premium Acoustic Underlayment for use with its luxury vinyl planks and tiles. 

By pairing QuietChoice with its products, specifiers can raise the impact insulation class (IIC) of an assembly by up to 25dB and achieve an IIC rating of up to 72 (ASTM E492 6” slab with drop ceiling).

When combined with QuietChoice, the company’s products meet uniform building code values of greater than 50 IIC, ideal for multi-story applications.
