Jon Logue, Co-Founder of Alliance Flooring, Has Died
Chattanooga, TN, September 11, 2024-Jon Logue, 80, co-founder of Alliance Flooring, died September 9 at his home surrounded by family.
Logue served the carpet and flooring industry for over 50 years, working for Allied Chemical, Rohm & Haas, Salem Carpet Mills, and Mohawk Industries. Before his work with Salem, Logue was one of the co-inventors of ANSO IV nylon from Allied Chemical. After his tenure with Salem Carpet Mills as vice president of sales and marketing, Logue worked for Mohawk Carpet Industries as senior vice president of marketing and product development.
Logue was an investor and partner in the first Internet Service Provider in Chattanooga, Voyager Online. Soon after that, in 1997, he co-founded Carpets Plus of America and Alliance Flooring Inc., buying groups that serve specialty floorcovering retailers, serving as co-CEO until his retirement in early 2022.
Logue believed in education and has afforded many the opportunity to attend college. He has three endowed scholarships at North Carolina State University.
A Celebration of Life will be September 13 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Council Fire Clubhouse, 100 Council Fire Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
