Initial Jobless Claims Rose by 5,000 in Week Ending February 15

Washington, DC, February 20, 2025-In the week ending February 15, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 219,000, an increase of 5,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 213,000 to 214,000. The four-week moving average was 215,250, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 216,000 to 216,250.
