Initial Jobless Claims Rose by 4,000 in Week Ending June 29

Washington, DC, July 3, 2024-In the week ending June 29, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 238,000, an increase of 4,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 233,000 to 234,000. The four-week moving average was 238,500, an increase of 2,250 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 236,000 to 236,250.
