Washington, DC, July 2, 2026—In the week ending June 27, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 215,000, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week’s revised level, the Labor Department said Thursday. The previous week’s level was revised up by 1,000 from 215,000 to 216,000.
The four-week moving average was 222,000, a decrease of 2,500 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised up by 250 from 224,250 to 224,500.
The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.2% for the week ending June 20, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised rate. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending June 20 was 1,814,000, an increase of 2,000 from the previous week’s revised level.
The previous week’s level was revised down by 9,000 from 1,821,000 to 1,812,000. The four4-week moving average was 1,803,000, an increase of 10,750 from the previous week’s revised average. The previous week’s average was revised down by 2,250 from 1,794,500 to 1,792,250.
