Initial Jobless Claims Declined 5,000 in Week Ending June 15

Washington, DC, June 20, 2024-In the week ending June 15, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 238,000, a decrease of 5,000 from the previous week's revised level, according to the Department of Labor. 

The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 242,000 to 243,000. The four-week moving average was 232,750, an increase of 5,500 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 227,000 to 227,250.
