Import Prices Up 0.2%


Washington, DC, December 14, 2006–The prices of goods imported into the U.S. rose 0.2% in November, as prices for imported petroleum fell but prices for imported natural gas skyrocketed.

Imported natural gas prices climbed 30.3% in November, hitting a two-year high, according to the Labor Department.

Imported petroleum prices, dropped 1.6%. Excluding petroleum import prices, import prices rose by 0.7%. Import prices excluding all fuels rose by 0.1%.
