Import Prices Rose 1.1% in May

Washington, DC, June 16, 2021-Prices for U.S. imports increased 1.1% in May, after a 0.8%  advance the previous month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported. 

Higher prices for fuel and nonfuel imports contributed to both the May and April rises. 

U.S. export prices increased 2.2% in May following a 1.1% advance in April.
