Washington, DC, September 16, 2026—U.S. import prices increased 0.7% in August, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported, following a 0.3% decrease in July.
Higher prices for nonfuel imports more than offset lower prices for fuel imports in August. Prices for U.S. exports advanced 0.6% in August after falling 1.4% the previous month.
