
Washington, DC, March 26, 2013 — The S&P/Case-Shiller composite index of house prices rose 8.1% in January.
That beat expectations for a 7.8% increase and was higher than December’s increase of 6.8%.
Both the 10 and 20-city composite indices had their highest increases since summer 2006.
