Home Depot Will Pay $19.5 Million to Compensate for 2014 Data Breach

Atlanta, GA, March 9, 2016—Home Depot has agreed to pay at least $19.5 million to compensate customers impacted by its 2014 data breach that affected more than 50 million cardholders.

The retailer will establish a $13 million fund to reimburse customers for losses and spent $6.5 million to fund 1.5 years of cardholder identity protection services.
