Home Depot Sales Rise 25.1% in Q4, 19.9% in Fiscal Year 2020

Atlanta, GA, February 23, 2021-The Home Depot reported Q4 2020 sales of $32.3 billion, an increase of 25.1% from Q4 2019. Comparable sales for Q4 2020 increased 24.5 %, and comparable sales in the U.S. increased 25.0%.

Net earnings for Q4 2020 were $2.9 billion, an increase of 15.2% compared with net earnings of $2.5 billion in Q4 2019. Net earnings for Q4 and the fiscal year were negatively impacted by non-recurring, pre-tax expenses related to the completion of the acquisition of HD Supply Holdings, Inc. on December 24, 2020, which totaled approximately $110 million.

Sales for fiscal 2020 were $132.1 billion, an increase of $21.9 billion, or 19.9%, from fiscal 2019. Comparable sales for fiscal 2020 increased 19.7%, and comparable sales in the U.S. increased 20.6%.

Net earnings for fiscal 2020 were $12.9 billion, an increase of 14.4% compared with net earnings of $11.2 billion, in fiscal 2019.
