Atlanta, GA, Jun. 3--Haverty Furniture reported that sales decreased 4.3% to $57.8 million for the month ended May 31, 2004, compared with $60.4 million in May 2003.
On a comparable-store basis, May sales decreased 8.1%.
Sales for the first five months of 2004 increased 6.5% to $305.4 million compared with $286.9 million in 2003. On a comparable-store basis, sales increased 2.0% for the first five months.
