Glennon Named CEO at Master Tile

Houston, TX, August 23--Master Tile appointed Bobby Glennon as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Glennon's leadership will drive Master Tile's national expansion in the ceramic tile and stone distribution business. The company recently completed acquisitions that expanded the company's geographic presence in its existing regions and added new territories in New Jersey, Georgia and Arizona. These additions significantly increase the company's reach beyond its historic roots in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and California. "Bobby is exactly the right leader for Master Tile. His extensive distribution background and vision for the floor covering industry complements our commitment to lead the ceramic and stone distribution segment," said Hazem Farra, chairman of Master Tile, who has served as interim CEO since November, 2004. Glennon is a veteran of the flooring industry with over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution, including his most recent post as General Manager of Mohawk Industries, Inc.'s Mid-Atlantic region. "I am delighted to be joining Master Tile at a time when the company is embarking on its campaign to distribute tile and stone to every region of the country," said Glennon. His main priority will be to ensure the successful integration of existing and future operations in all regions. Master Tile was one of the first companies to import ceramic tile into the United States when it was founded over 55 years ago in Texas. In 2003, the company began a national expansion, opening and acquiring operations in Florida and California and most recently New Jersey, Georgia, and Arizona. Master Tile distributes floor and wall tile, swimming pool tile, decorative tile, porcelain, natural stone and slab, and setting materials. It serves both the commercial and residential markets.
