Gerflor Acquires Stagestep

Bolingbrook, IL, November 2, 2022-Gerflor has acquired Stagestep, the oldest dance floor company in the United States.

Started in 1968 by Randy Schwartz, Stagestep has more than 50 years of experience in helping theaters and studios select flooring solutions that balance dancer performance with safety and wellness. From home studios, schools, and professional dance companies, Stagestep provides complete flooring solutions, offering subfloors and Marley vinyl and installation and maintenance systems. Stagestep has supported the performances of over 250 dance companies.

As a provider of highly technical cushioned vinyl surfaces and wood subfloors, Gerflor brings engineering expertise, product development, and manufacturing capabilities to Stagestep. Gerflor is the foundation for world-recognized athletic events, from the Olympics to NCAA and world championships in basketball and volleyball.
