Washington, D.C.—The third annual Flooring Sustainability Summit opens today at the Mayflower Hotel and runs July 15-16, bringing together flooring manufacturers, architects, designers, sustainability professionals and industry leaders for two days of education, collaboration and discussion around sustainable building materials and product specification.
Hosted by the flooring industry’s leading trade associations, this year’s event places increased emphasis on engagement with the architecture and design community, while expanding programming around technology, material transparency, circularity and continuing education.
Keynote speakers include George Bandy, chief sustainability officer at Andersen Corporation, and Cheryl Durst, executive vice president and CEO of IIDA. The summit also includes a reception at the American Institute of Architects’ newly renovated headquarters.
