Flooring Contractors Severely Burned in Job Site Explosion

Whitehall, PA, September 7, 2018-Three contractors from Sim’s Specialty Flooring of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, were severely burned the evening of September 6 when an explosion occurred at a job site, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

Dave Sims, founder and CEO, and two of his employees are in Pittsburgh’s Mercy Hospital, and two of these individuals are in critical condition.

The three were working in the basement of a residence, and it is suspected that they were using flammable chemicals.

Sims Specialty Flooring is a commercial & residential flooring company that specializes in concrete sealing and polishing as well as epoxy flooring.
