Floor and Decor Outlets of America Adds Two Locati

Atlanta, Georgia, November 7, 2005--Floor and Decor Outlets of America continues its expansion with two additional locations adding a third Dallas store near Plano and its first in the South Florida market in Pompano Beach. Danny Biebricher, vice president of operations, says the company is very excited about the addition of these two locations. We continue to make progress on store design and efficiencies. We have made some small but subtle changes that will be easy to incorporate into all existing locations. These changes will reduce both opening and operating expenses and continue to support our goal to "Change the way America buys Flooring." Mike Froning, president and CEO of Floor and Decor Outlets of America, said overall company sales continue to perform well since he and the new management team took the helm and rebranded the Atlanta stores in 2002. The concept fills a niche in today's marketplace, as the burgeoning number of homeowners coupled with the popularity of home-improvement programs HGTV, TLC and prime time network programming have led to a more educated consumer, and an increase in do-it-youselfers. "Our stores are the same size as major home improvement stores, but rather than two aisles devoted to flooring we are 100% dedicated to flooring and accessories. We offer shoppers access to product that previously was only available to industry insiders, or was not affordable. Now, consumers have access to hard surface flooring options like stone or travertine," said Froning. "In the past, many of these options were accessible to the interior design and building industry, but not on a consumer level." Since early 2002, Floor and Decor has added a third location in Atlanta's Kennesaw area, as well as locations in Jacksonville, Dallas, Houston and Phoenix. The Houston and Dallas markets have responded so favorably that the company opened additional locations in both markets last year with plans for additional stores in both markets in 2006. The company will continue expanding its presence in 2006 with additional store openings slated for other markets that yield a high demand for hard surface flooring. Floor and Decor Outlets of America features a broad selection of hardwood floors; flooring tiles in all sizes of travertine, ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and slate; pavers; and mosaics. The store also stocks decoratives for backsplashes and bathrooms including tumbled stones, sinks, meshmounts, and wall tile. Additionally, several lines of products necessary to complete flooring jobs, including wet saws, grout, thin set, mouldings and transitions strips will be offered. Most of these products are shipped directly to stores from continents all over the world, which offers consumers both a huge selection and significant savings.
