Fishman Acquires WJ Grosvenor

Baltimore, MD, December 5, 2024-L. Fishman & Son, the holding company owning Fishman Flooring Solutions, a distributor of flooring and flooring installation supplies, has purchased WJ Grosvenor, a distributor of flooring supplies, tools, and accessories in the Northeast U.S. 

The transaction brings together two of the oldest flooring distribution firms in the U.S. Fishman celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 and Grosvenor began doing business in 1910, much of that time serving the flooring marketplace in New England. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 

WJ Grosvenor will continue operating under its current name for the foreseeable future. Twenty of its employees, who are meeting customer needs at six branches in Massachusetts and a seventh branch in New Hampshire, will be joining Fishman.
L. Fishman & Son is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. It has approximately 290 employees working at 48 branches serving Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.
