Factory Orders Decline in October

Washington, DC, Dec. 5, 2014 — New orders to U.S. factories fell for a third straight month in October, according to the Commerce Department.

New orders for manufactured goods fell 0.7% after a revised 0.5% drop in September.

Orders excluding the volatile transportation category dropped 1.4%.
