European Commission Levies Duties on Multilayered Wood Flooring From China
Brussels, Belgium, July 16, 2025-The European Commission has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties of 21.3% to 36.1% on imports of multilayered wood flooring originating in China.
In a statement, the commission said: “The measures aim to protect EU producers of multilayered wood flooring-an EU market worth €1.3 billion, and which employs 10,500 people in the EU- from unfair trading practices.”
Multilayered wood flooring comprises several layers of wood veneer that are glued or bonded together. "Today’s anti-dumping duties were imposed following an investigation, which showed that dumped imports of multilayered wood flooring from China were harming EU industry,” the commission said. “The duties imposed today will help EU multilayered flooring makers to compete on a more equal footing with their Chinese counterparts.” The duties are effective as of July 11.
