EF Contract & Mohawk Group Announce Commercial Price Increase

Chattanooga, TN, May 10, 2021--Following residential price increases last week, Engineered Floors and Mohawk have issued price increases on commercial products as well. 

Engineered Floors’ prices will increase on all J+J Flooring and EF Contract products, beginning with orders on June 14 and shipments on July 5. Price increases will vary by product categories. Most products will increase in the range of 8% to 12%.

Mohawk Group will raises prices up to 8% on all commercial soft and hard surface categories, including carpet tile, tufted broadloom and woven broadloom, LVT and sheet. In addition, it will increase freight rates on broadloom and carpet tile a minimum of $0.03 per square yard and hard surface freight drop charges will increases by a minimum of $5.00. These increases will be effective with orders and shipments on or after June 1. 

The companies cite high raw material, freight and labor costs as the catalyst for the increases.
