EcoTimber Moves Headquarters to Denver Area
Denver, CO, Nov. 3, 2009--EcoTimber Inc. has moved its headquarters from the San Francisco area to Denver’s Stapleton region to be more centrally located for customers and to cut costs.
The wood-flooring wholesaler also decided to relocate because Mike St. John, its new chairman and president, lives there. St. John is a general partner in Denver investment firm NewWest Capital Partners, which joined with Boulder-based Greenwood Capital Partners LLC to buy EcoTimber for $4 million in 2007.
“We have continued to make investments in EcoTimber, and in the last one, I came along with the money,” St. John said.
EcoTimber recently moved its main office from Richmond, Calif., to 75,000 square feet of a 150,000-square-foot industrial building in the Denver area. The company has about 30 employees, including 10 in Denver.
