Durable Goods Orders Decline in July

Washington, DC, Aug. 26, 2013 — Orders for durable goods recorded their biggest drop in nearly a year in July, according to the Commerce Department.

The government said that durable goods orders dropped 7.3%.

That was the biggest decline since last August and reversed three consecutive months of gains.

Durable goods orders had increased 3.9% in June.
