Don Perron of Perron's Flooring Center Has Died

Sarasota, FL, November 2, 2021-Donald (Don) Perron, 89, of Perron’s Flooring Center, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 23.

After serving in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 as part of the 25th Infantry Wolfhounds and earning a college degree from Dawson Institute, Perron and his wife, Gladys Chasse, both worked for Stanley Home Products, owned/managed rental properties and subsequently purchased a flooring business in Plainville, Connecticut, which became The Shag Barn in 1971 then expanding to Perron’s Flooring Center in 1989. 

After retiring to Sarasota in 1996, he once again jumped back into flooring sales working for Carpet One and most recently Abbey Carpet Inn where he finally retired fully at the age of 84. Don’s son, Scott Perron, is president of Floors4Pros.
